Dear Editor: Interest has been strongly expressed by the District of North Vancouver to merge with the City of North Vancouver.

" It's time we ... restored education as an essential service, to ensure students are never again denied access to the education your tax dollars pay for, simply because of a labour dispute.

Dear Editor: My high school is closed, and I'm waving at my teachers through a car window every morning when I am supposed to be in school. This is the reality for thousands of students throughout the province as we wait out the labour dispute.

We're heartened that kids will likely soon be returning to the classroom where they belong.

Dear Editor: Re. Four Homeless After Fires, Sept. 5 I thought you may want to know that my husband, David Podolchuk, and I were walking along Marine Drive and saw the flames and sparks flying out of the hydro box.

West Vancouver environmentalists won a victory Monday when their council opposed a liquefied natural gas plant proposed for Howe Sound.

Dear Editor: In this life there are angels that walk among us. They aren't afraid to see the sick and dying. They show mercy through random acts of kindness.

Dear Editor: I'm appealing to those few people who think it's OK to park in a disabled parking space even though they are able-bodied and don't have a disability permit. In most shopping centres, malls etc., there are very few disabled spaces.

Dear Editor: Every child is unique and has special needs. A classroom teacher is expected to know and to understand each child's intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.

Dear Editor: In reference to the letter that was written by Michael McQuarrie "Our parks are for all to enjoy, not just pooches." I am a regular walker on the boulevard with my dog.
