VIDEO: 2012 Hollyburn Family Services Hockey Heroes Shootout

On the afternoon of Sunday March 11th, an artificial ice sheet at West Vancouver's Park Royal Shopping Centre was the setting for the first annual Hollyburn Hockey Heroes Shootout presented by Scotiabank.

On the afternoon of Sunday March 11th, an artificial ice sheet at West Vancouver's Park Royal Shopping Centre was the setting for the first annual Hollyburn Hockey Heroes Shootout presented by Scotiabank.

The event was to help raise about $20,000 for Hollyburn Family Services youth programs and included a barbecue, a live auction of hockey jerseys signed by former Canucks Darcy Rota and Jack McIlhargey and a dramatic hockey shootout.

Attendees includes MP Andrew Saxton, TSN sports analyst and former CFLer Glen Suitor, as well as Jack McIlhargey and Darcy Rota.

12 shooters gathered pledges and joined to take part in the fun.

Jeff Young of the West Vancouver police was recognized for raising the most pledges.

Each contestant had thirty seconds to get as many pucks in the net as possible with the winner receiving the coveted Hollyburn Hockey Heroes Cup.
