On Saturday August 6th, North Vancouvers Chris Zeulke Park was the setting for the 2011 Canadian National Little Playoffs opening ceremonies.

On Saturday August 6th, North Vancouvers Chris Zeulke Park was the setting for the 2011 Canadian National Little Playoffs opening ceremonies.

Players were piped onto the field by Milt Cameron and a colour guard

Participating teams included the Rocky Mountain Red Sox representing the prairies

The Sydney Steel Men representing the Atlantic provinces

Valleyfield representing Quebec

The High Park Braves representing Ontario

Langley, representing British Columbia

And the host team, Mount Seymour

North Vancouver District 5 Administrator Wayne Hobson was on hand to oversee the festivities

North Vancouver City Mayor Darrell Mussatto was on hand to join the celebration and throw out the first pitch caught by Mount Seymour`s Desi Burgart

Representatives from each team gathered to recite the Little League Pledge

And join in the singing of the national anthem.

And dignitaries gathered to cut the ribbon to open the tournament

The 2011 Canadian National Little League Championships, just one more reason the North Shore is the greatest place in the world to live.
