THE North Shore Twins begin their 2012 B.C. Premier Baseball League season this weekend in Langley before returning to North Vancouver's Parkgate Park for their home opener Tuesday night against the Coquitlam Reds.
The Twins will get an early idea of how the team has developed since last season when they face the Reds on Tuesday - it was Coquitlam that knocked the North Shore squad out of the playoffs last season. In 2011 the Twins finished seventh in the league before getting swept two-straight in the opening round against second-ranked Coquitlam.
The Twins will be hoping to regain their form of a few years ago when they won three consecutive BCPBL titles from 2007 to 2009.
Game time Tuesday is 6: 30 p.m. at Parkgate Park.
