Two senior girls teams from the North Shore/Burnaby-based Mountain United Football Club scored championship wins at tournaments held in the United States recently.
The club's U18 team, winners of the B.C. Soccer Premier League last season, added to their trophy collection with a victory at the FC Portland Premier Winter College Showcase
held Jan. 16-19. Not to be outdone, the club's U17 team spent the same weekend winning the Pacific Northwest Winter Classic College Showcase held in Seattle.
The 2015 BCSPL season kicks off Feb. 21-22. The first MUFC North Shore home games are scheduled for March 7-8 at Ambleside Park.
