NORTH Vancouver's Brayden Belleville and Keishon Ross joined Canada's under-15 football team in a matchup against the United States at the Eastbay 2012 Youth All-American Bowl Jan. 8 as part of the festivities surrounding the NCAA's U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Belleville and Ross, both players in the Carson Graham junior program, both suited up at wide receiver for the crossCanada all-star team which was coached by UBC head coach Paul Orazietti. Canada lost the game 34-7 but both North Van players showed well, scoring all of the team's points.
Belleville scored Canada's only touchdown on a 60-yard catch and run, a play that was named the offensive play of the game. He ended the contest with five catches while also handling punting duties and acting as a team captain. He was named Canada's MVP for the game.
Ross started at wide receiver, had one catch and recovered a fumble. He also got in on the kicking game, handling kickoff duties for Canada wile also booting in the extra point for Belleville's touchdown.

North Vancouver's Kaela Barker capped her NCAA field hockey career by being named the Colonial Athletic Association's field hockey scholar athlete of the year.
A health sciences major, Barker made the Northeastern University Dean's List in all six of her semesters and received the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award three times and was a two-time recipient of the Top Dogs Award for having a 3.8+ GPA.
On the field barker was named a third team All-American after racking up four goals and five assists for the Huskies this season.
The Sutherland grad started all but one of her 81 games in four years at Northeastern, scoring 17 goals and 20 assists while playing strong defence at her midfield position.
