Four players with North Shore ties were named to the Canadian senior men's national team that will battle the best players on the planet next month in the Rugby World Cup.

Capilano Rugby Club members and alumni Harry Jones, Jason Marshall and Jamie Cudmore will all suit up for the squad while North Vancouver-born Evan Olmstead, who grew up in Australia, will also hit the pitch. The tournament starts Sept. 18 in England and Wales. Canada will kick off their tournament Sept. 19 when they face Ireland in Cardiff. Other opening round fixtures for Team Canada include Sept. 26 against Italy, Oct. 1 against France and Oct. 6 against Romania.
