Its one day late but Lynn Valley will take on Forest Hills Monday, July 18 at 6 p.m. at North Vancouvers Chris Zuehlke Memorial Park in the championship game of the District 5 Majors Little League baseball tournament.
Rain postponed the tournament semifinals scheduled for Saturday but they were back at it on Sunday with Forest Hills knocking off Cypress Park 4-0 followed by Lynn Valley squeaking by North Van Central 2-1 to set up tonights final.
The winner will head to Victoria for the provincial championship with a chance to earn a spot at the national tournament which will be hosted right back here in North Van at Zuehlke Park in August.
North Vancouvers Mount Seymour Little League has already earned a spot in the national tournament as the host team.
