West Vancouver's Tim Mason and North Vancouver's Pershick finished first and second, respectively, in round-robin play to set up a friendly final. Mason went undefeated in the run-up to the final but Pershick, the defending champion, edged him in a tie-break game in the final to claim the title.

With the win Pershick earned the right to represent Canada at the World Bowls Indoor Championships scheduled for March 27-April 4, 2012 in Warilla, Australia.

Mason will also get his share of international competition as Canada's representative at the Asia Pacific Championships scheduled for Nov. 28-Dec. 11 in Adelaide, Australia.

North Vancouver's Eugene Wong was named the Pac-12 Golfer of the Month after a scorching start to the 2011-12 season with the Oregon Ducks.

Wong scored top-3 finishes in every event he played in October, including a win at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in which he set the tournament record at 18-under par 195 for three rounds.

Wong started the month with a runner-up finish at The Prestige at PGA West tournament and finished it with a third-place finish at the Gifford Collegiate Championships. Six of Wong's nine rounds during October were in the 60s, including a 63 at the MacKenzie, his best round in four years of NCAA golf.
