Mayors' tourney set to tee off at Seymour

It's time once again for the mayors to tee off.

It's time once again for the mayors to tee off.

On Friday, May 22, North Vancouver City Mayor Darrell Mussatto, North Vancouver District Mayor Richard Walton and West vancouver District Mayor Pam Goldsmith-Jones will come together once again at the Seymour Golf and Country Club to host their second annual golf tournament.

The event is aimed at raising funds for the Mayors' Community Trust Fund.

This trust fund is designed to assist North Shore non-profit associations that provide support for local residents.

This year's recipients are the North Shore Safe House and a pilot program for the North Shore homeless.

Organized by the North Shore Community Foundation and the West Vancouver Community Foundation, the annual North Shore Mayors' Golf Tournament is a chance for community members and businesses to sponsor, play or attend as a guest in aid of a very worthwhile local support program.

Activities include pre-round networking with the mayors and attendees, use of the driving range and practice green.

After-round festivities include a reception, a great meal, prizes and a live auction -- all at one of the Lower Mainland's most hospitable private golf clubs.

It's a great way to get some quality time with the politicians and business people that make the North Shore one of the best places in the world to live.

Tee time is noon and registration begins at 10:30.

If you'd like to come out, play and help support this great tournament, call 778-998-2807 or register online at either www.nscommunityfoundation.com or www.westvanfoundation.com.
