When you get out there, don’t forget the five Ds of dodgeball: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.

KidSport North Shore is aiming for fun and fundraising at the inaugural Dodge, Duck and Dive for Kids dodgeball tournament scheduled for May 31 at Carson Graham Secondary.

The event will feature teams of six to 10 players competing against each other in a tournament assisted by organizers and referees from Dodgeball B.C., the governing body for the sport in the province. Teams are given the target of raising $2,000 for the event, enough money for KidSport to help approximately eight disadvantaged North Shore kids participate in organized sport.

Several community organizations have already signed up for the event, including Neptune Terminals, Thrifty Foods, Harris & Company, Sentinel Secondary and TD Bank. Teams interested in signing up can contgact KidSport board member Shannon Webster.

The action runs 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Friday, May 31 at Carson Graham. For more information visit the KidSport North Shore website.
