KIDSPORT North Shore is celebrating its 10th year of providing funds to ensure all kids on the North Shore have the opportunity to experience the benefits of organized sport.
To mark the occasion they are throwing a 10th Anniversary Celebration Gala Saturday, May 12, reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. at the North Vancouver Holiday Inn. The evening will feature a champagne reception, buffet dinner, cash bar, silent and live auctions, music and special guests, including MC Barry Macdonald from Team 1040 and guest speaker Annamay Pierse, an Olympic swimmer and world record holder in the 200-metre breaststroke.
KidSport provides support to families in order to remove financial barriers that prevent children from playing organized sports such as soccer, baseball, lacrosse and football.
On the North Shore they assist more than 150 athletes per year.
