Junior All-Native Tournament takes off on the North Shore

More than 80 basketball teams are taking their best shots in the Junior All-Native Tournament this week at gyms across the Lower Mainland, including several on the North Shore.

More than 80 basketball teams are taking their best shots in the Junior All-Native Tournament this week at gyms across the Lower Mainland, including several on the North Shore.

On Monday the North Shore Wolves topped the Tl'kemcheen Warriors 67-45 in the boys U17 division. The tournament also includes a U17 girls division and U13 boys and girls. Opening ceremonies will be held tonight starting at 6 p.m. at Capilano University. Championship finals will also be held at the Capilano Sportsplex starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

Chief Joe Mathias Centre, Tsleil-Waututh Nation, and Carson Graham, Seycove and Sutherland secondaries will also be hosting games this week. For full schedules and updated results visit the tournament website here
