The Capilano Blues men's basketball team scored a pair of important wins last week as the PacWest regular season winds down.
The Blues first romped to a 92-62 win over Kwantlen Feb. 5 before knocking off Columbia Bible College 99-88 two days later. The wins bumped the Blues six points above Kwantlen in the race for the sixth and final playoff spot. Capilano will look to solidify their playoff position next weekend when they host Langara on Friday and Douglas College Saturday. Tip-off both nights at the Capilano Sportsplex will be 6 p.m. for the women with the men to follow at 8 p.m.
