THE West Vancouver Police Department is reaching out to the public to help stop fraud before it happens.

The department's community services unit is inviting citizens and businesses to come down West Vancouver Community Centre Wednesday March 21 from 8: 30 a.m. to noon to learn about fraud prevention.

The North Shore has seen numerous widely publicized fraud cases in recent years, including an incident in January in which a North Vancouver senior lost $6,000 to a woman claiming to be a niece who had run into legal trouble.
