WORKSAFE BC is investigating after a man working on a construction site on Mt. Seymour Parkway in North Vancouver fell about three metres inside a building Monday.
Preliminary indications are the worker was doing drywall installation inside the almost-finished condo project when he stepped on to a thin piece of sheet metal that was not properly anchored, said WorkSafe BC spokeswoman Donna Freeman.
The man's fall was broken part-way down and he was reportedly not seriously injured.
WorkSafe investigators are checking to make sure safety regulations were being followed on the work site, said Freeman.
Recently, three other North Shore construction companies found themselves facing more than $17,000 in fines after being accused of safety violations by WorkSafe B.C.
