West Vancouver Fire and Rescue members quickly knocked down a fire that threatened a home in the lower British Properties Thursday afternoon.
When fire crews arrived at the home in the 400-block of Hadden Drive, heavy smoke was billowing from the home’s detached carport. All six occupants of the home were out at the time.
Because of the quick attack, crews prevented the fire from spreading to the main home, according to assistant chief Jeff Bush.
“We very easily could have lost the entire house,” he said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
