The Netflix in Your Neighbourhood map has been updated with new spots used for scenes in movies and TV shows shot around Metro Vancouver and other locations.

Interested in where Black Mirror or The Recruit shot episodes around Vancouver?

They're two of the recent additions to Netflix In Your Neighbourhood, a website that maps out where TV shows and films on the streaming platform were shot.

The map launched in 2021 showing a handful of filming spots around the city. Now almost 100 locations have been mapped out in Metro Vancouver, and there are more than 125 in southern B.C.

Users can either look at a map to see what was shot in a certain location or use the site's navigation tools to look up all the locations associated with one project.

While the downtown core has several locations highlighted, including places like CBC's studios (used in Firefly Lane), the Vancouver Art Gallery (used in Always Be My Maybe and Keep Breathing), and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary (used in The Fall of the House of Usher), the map shows how every part of Vancouver is used in the industry.

For example, the Rio Vista in the Southlands was used in The Mother, Main Convenience was used in Brazen, and New Brighton Beach was used in The Night Agent.

The map also includes plenty of other filming locations in the region, including Burnaby's Barney Marine Park (used in Virgin River), Langley's Otter Co-op (used in Devil in Ohio), and the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal (which was used in Maid) on Vancouver Island.

The map includes the rest of Canada as well. While many filming locations are clustered around Vancouver and Toronto, other spots like Calgary, Montreal, and southern Ontario each show several places where movie magic was made.
