The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man found dead aboard a B.C. Ferries vessel last month.
The coroner and West Vancouver Police Department sought the public’s help in identifying the man found slumped over and unresponsive on the vehicle deck of a ferry bound for West Vancouver on Feb. 20.
Nanaimo RCMP and West Vancouver police both received tips after media coverage about the unidentified man.
The man has now been identified as Ray Nelson, aged 56, of Port Alberni.
Nelson’s death is not considered suspicious.
