Traffic across Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows slowed to a crawl Wednesday morning after a serious collision shut down two northbound lanes. At least one person was taken to hospital.

Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing is back up and running after a three-car collision brought traffic to a near standstill Wednesday morning.

Police shut down two northbound lanes after the vehicles crashed at about 9 a.m. One person was rushed to hospital.

TransLink diverted northbound bus service from the span while investigators inspected the scene and arranged for the wreckage to be removed.

The bridge was opened again within a couple of hours. Its not clear yet what triggered the incident.
