Three women in their early 20s have been arrested in connection to a stabbing early Saturday morning at Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver RCMP say.

Local Mounties were called to the scene around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, July 26, due to reports of a distraught female at Lonsdale Quay near the bus loop.

When police arrived, they located a woman “who had injuries consistent with being assaulted with an edged weapon.”

During the investigation, two more women were found on the second floor above the bus loop, where one of them had similar injuries.

Police say it’s alleged that the three females were involved in a dispute and an assault occurred.

Two of the three females were taken to the hospital with injuries from minor to serious.

“As the investigation is in its very early stages, there are a lot of unanswered questions that police are seeking answers for,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, North Vancouver RCMP spokesperson, in a press release.

“What we do know is that there was a dispute between the parties, who were known to each other, before the alleged assault occurred.”

RCMP ask anyone who witnessed Saturday’s incident and has not yet spoken to police to call 604-985-1311. The police file is #25-15578.
