Police in North Vancouver are looking for witnesses and video footage following a pedestrian collision that sent a 16-year-old girl to hospital in serious condition Friday afternoon.
The teen was allegedly struck in a crosswalk by the driver of a Ford Transit van in the 700 block of Lynn Valley Road southbound near the Highway 1 on-ramp just before 4 p.m. Friday, according to a release from the North Vancouver RCMP.
The RCMP are looking for witnesses to the collision or anyone who has dash-cam or CCTV footage from the area at the time of the crash.
Our officers are working closely with partner agencies, including the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS), to establish the circumstances of this collision,

The driver of the van remained on scene and is co-operating with investigators, police said, adding that the cause of the collision remains under investigation, but impairment is not believed to be a factor.
