MEMBERS of the public will have the chance to weigh in on a proposal to give St. Edmund's elementary students priority access to McEvoy Park during school hours in exchange for the Catholic school funding improvements to the park.
The park, at Jones Avenue and Sixth Street, is adjacent to the school.
The improvements would include a new playground and fencing built to city standards.
Council voted May 28 to gather public feedback on the proposal at an open house to be hosted by St. Edmund's. Comments gathered at the open house will be used by council when making a decision.
The open house has been scheduled for June 14 at the school between 3 and 7 p.m.
