The North Shore News held a screening of the Academy Award winning film Spotlight Wednesday at Capilano University's Bosa Centre as part of National Newspaper Week celebrations being held around the country.
Publisher Peter Kvarnstrom introduced the film and asked attendees to show their appreciation for the newspaper industry by pledging their (non-financial) support at newspapersmatter.com. Supporters are also joining the conversation by using the hashtag #NowMoreThanEver for social media posts related to National Newspaper Week, which in Canada runs Oct. 1-7.
