The 46th Annual Southern Straits sailing race, hosted by the West Vancouver Yacht Club, kicked off with a Captain's Keg Party April 17 at the Eagle Harbour-based facility. Swapping sailing strategies and stories as well as enjoying dinner and a few refreshments, the sailors prepared for the annual Easter overnight sailing race consisting of three courses ranging from 53 to 122 nautical miles. Racers set off the following morning from Dundarave Pier.
