Missing Vancouver man found

The man, who was officially reported missing on Sept. 22, has been "located unharmed", say police.

A Vancouver man who went missing over a week ago near the trail of Lynn Canyon Park has been found.

"We are pleased to report that the person reported missing on Sept. 22 has been located unharmed," a North Vancouver RCMP spokesperson said.

"Thank you to the public and the media for your assistance."

Last week the man's family had called upon the public to help find their brother and son, amid concerns for his wellbeing.

He hadn't been seen since Sunday, and with police having recently found his car in North Vancouver, near the trails of Lynn Canyon Park, there were fears he may have embarked on an ill-prepared hike.

On the evening of Sept. 20, RCMP had found the man's unoccupied car near 4440 Marion Rd., near the entrance to the Rice Lake and Lynn Headwaters trail systems.
