A Christmas tea was held at the North Shore Hospice Dec. 11, intended to celebrate the many unsung heroes of the local palliative care community. The event honoured the efforts of nursing staff, community and hospital pharmacists, occupational therapists, ward clerks, dietitians, care aids and social workers who dedicate countless hours to providing warm and compassionate end of life care. Those in attendance shared stories, decorated the hospice's Christmas tree, and were treated to food and refreshments.
