Recreation commissioners: Volunteers are needed to help guide the North Vancouver Recreation Commission's policies and present the best interest of North Vancouver residents. This is a three-year position.

Fish hatchery operations: A volunteer is needed to help maintain the fish hatchery on weekdays or weekends. Duties to include biological sampling, general fish culture, fish release, fin clipping, fundraising, educational activities and daily hatchery duties.

Summer program: Stanley Park Ecology Society is offering an opportunity for youth ages 14-20 to earn volunteer hours during two-week rotations throughout the summer months. Volunteers will work in teams to remove targeted invasive species from selected areas of the park, speak with the public about ecology and invasive species, and also support team members and co-ordinators.

Drivers: Drivers are needed to transport seniors to and from a short-distance walking program held on Mondays and Wednesdays. The Monday group goes to Lynn Valley Centre or Lonsdale Quay and on Wednesday the group goes to Capilano Mall. Drivers transport seniors in their own vehicle. If drivers are interested, they are also needed to walk with seniors or take seniors to medical appointments.

Thrift store: A volunteer is needed to work with a manager and other volunteers to sort, price and sell incoming donations at a North Vancouver thrift store.

Copywriting professional: A volunteer is needed to provide a consistent voice across the newly developed Parkgate Community Services Society's website to enable the society to reach out to develop, support, and strengthen the community it serves. The position is for July and August. The volunteer will work within their own schedule to complete work by Sept. 1.
