Volunteer for Seniors' One Stop Program: A mature, patient volunteer who speaks Mandarin or Cantonese, has good verbal communication and computer skills is needed to work with this program. Responsibilities include answering telephones and assisting walk-in clients by providing appropriate information and referrals. Shifts available: Thursday and Friday mornings (two to four hours). Comprehensive training provided.

Fund Development and Communications Volunteer: Volunteer will assist the coordinator in the execution of administrative elements of fund development and communications. Commitment: Monday-Wednesday or any combination of those days, four hour shifts within the range of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Board Member: The board of directors of North Shore Community Resources Society, a local non-profit multi-service agency serving infants through seniors, has openings for a treasurer and members-at-large. This is a policy board with 15 members who are encouraged to share their expertise through committee work. The board meets six times yearly.

Church Volunteer: A volunteer with reception skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office is needed for Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to work at the church office.

Computer Trainer: A volunteer is needed to teach basic computer skills to women as soon as possible. The volunteer will work one-on-one with women interested in learning basic computer and Internet skills, one hour per week. There are six lessons. Farsi speaking is an asset.
