A 28-year-old woman from North Vancouver has died after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 near Mackenzie, B.C.

Police were called to the scene at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, after the driver of a black Dodge Ram 3500 pickup that was towing a flat deck trailer collided with the driver of a black Ford Bronco on Highway 97 at Bijoux Falls Provincial Park, according to a statement from BC Highway Patrol.

Four were injured in the crash, a driver and passenger in the truck along with a driver and passenger in the SUV, and were taken to hospital. The second passenger in the Bronco was the woman from North Vancouver.

“Police are very interested in how these vehicles were driving in the minutes leading up to the collision, and we’re looking for more witnesses who saw that black Ford Bronco or the black Dodge Ram towing a trailer,” said Cpl. Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol.

Investigators are asking anyone who saw the events leading up to the collision or has dash camera footage to call BC Highway Patrol Prince George at 250-649-6004 and quote file (3100) 2025-664.
