WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITY CHANGES IF ELECTED?

Affordable housing to accommodate young families, seniors. Access and co-ordination of services: childcare, recreation and health. Council accountability, transparency regarding: fi scal, social, environmental actions.

Preserving heritage. Encouraging proper growth. Finding effi ciencies between the city and district. Completing the Shipyards and planning for the former site of the Maritime Museum.

Revision of OCP, focus on infrastructure and current services.

To make the City of North Vancouver a mor youth-friendly place to live and relax.

e Stop wasting taxpayers' money. No more bike lanes.

Need a reformer on council, someone who understands the needs of working people, homeowners, tenants and growing number of street people. Restoring cuts to social services .

IS THE CITY MANAGING GROWTH APPROPRIATELY?

For the past number of years the city's growth has been 1%, this growth has been managed by a 10-yearold Offi cial Community Plan. The "CityShaping" process will defi ne guiding principles of a new OCP which will manage growth, climate change, energy costs, affordable housing, transportation and infrastructure.

Yes. The new development that has occurred especially in Lower and Central Lonsdale has changed the city. The population has grown, there are better attractions and events, and empty, ugly parking lots have become vibrant residences. I am excited about the development that will be occurring at Lonsdale and 13th.

There is a sense of urgency accompanying new developments in the Lonsdale corridor and a lack of support for infrastructure and services. To quote Dr. Seuss "I meant no harm. I most truly did not. But I had to grow bigger. So bigger I got. . . ."

There is room for improvement.

No, and here is why: need politicians who will fi ght for social reforms and grants to assist progressive community organizations. Instead of declaring.

SHOULD THE CITY AMALGAMATE WITH THE DISTRICT OF NORTH VANCOUVER?

No. Amalgamation would increase our taxes and reduce the available funding for infrastructure with little benefi t. Larger organizations do not guarantee effi ciencies.

Needs to be carefully studied. . Not if it would increase our tax rate. . Not if it would have a large detrimental effect on staff.

At this time, I do not think that it is the route to go. I am open to discussing it though.

I am undecided on this point.

I have no problem with it but it's up to people to decide.

It was amalgamated. Shouldn't be now.

WHAT IS THE WORST DECISION MADE BY THE PRESENT COUNCIL AND WHY?

A poor decision made by council was presenting the Low Level Road proposal without adequate consultation of stakeholders, including more neigbourhood consultation.

It is easy to be an armchair critic, so I am not going to be. My platform is looking to the future, not the past.

Giving $1 million for the PMV Low Road Improvement Project. There are numerous multi-million and multibillion dollar companies that will profi t. They should pay.

Wasting bunch of money taking a landlord to Supreme Court for having illegal rental suites.
