TWO North Vancouver projects were recently honoured with 2012 Awards for Engineering Excellence from the Association of Consulting Engineers of B.C.
Morrison Hershfield won the Natural Resource, Energy and Industry Award of Excellence for the Capilano Cliffwalk. The popular attraction features suspended walkways along a granite cliff face above the Capilano River, providing views of the forest and the canyon below.
Hitch Mott MacDonald took home the Transportation Award of Excellence for the new Harbourside West Pedestrian Overpass in the City of North Vancouver. This 280-metre section of the Spirit Trail provides a link across three railway tracks connecting Kings Mill Walk to West First Street.
