Nominations are now being accepted for the Prime Minister's Volunteer Awards, which recognize the contributions volunteers, not-forprofit organizations and businesses make to their communities.
Each year a total of 17 awards are given at the regional and national level. Two awards - Emerging Leader and Lifelong Achievement - are national awards and three awards - Community Leader, Business Leader and Social Innovator - are regional awards.
Award recipients are recognized at a ceremony where they will receive a medal, a pin and a certificate from the Prime Minister and can select an eligible not-forprofit organization to receive a grant for $5,000 (regional award) or $10,000 (national award).
