Mounties hunting North Vancouver bank robbery suspect

Police are looking for a man they say robbed a bank in Lynn Valley last month. The unidentified suspect walked into the CIBC at 1199 Lynn Valley Road July 11 and passed a threatening note to the teller demanding money, according to investigators.

The unidentified suspect walked into the CIBC at 1199 Lynn Valley Road July 11 and passed a threatening note to the teller demanding money, according to investigators. The frightened employee handed over the cash, and the man fled on foot. North Vancouver RCMP responded to the call, but were unable to find him.

On Monday, in an effort to track suspect down, investigators circulated an image of him taken from a bank security camera.

The suspected robber is a Caucasian man in his early 20s, five feet nine inches tall. He was wearing cargo shorts, a long-sleeved shirt, a dark toque and aviator sunglasses at the time of the robbery.
