A group of Lower Mainland mothers who created Mom Inc. Movement, a job search, business sale and business search website for mothers, recently relaunched their website.
Mom Inc. Movement was created to give mothers information and support to start, find or expand a business or career.
The co-founders of Mom Inc. Movement - former North Vancouver resident Christine Nielsen along with Julie Nowell and Meghan Simington - spent months planning and reorganizing the company's website.
"We want to encourage more moms to find passion in their work without sacrificing their families," Nielsen said in a press release. The website, www.momincmovement.com, has been rebuilt to encourage moms to become entrepreneurs. The site now allows mothers to search for jobs, business opportunities, services or businesses for sale. It also includes articles and blogs from mothers around the world.
Users can also register for the second Mom Inc. Movement trade show and conference that will be held in Vancouver on Nov. 4.
The three mothers are hoping to reach out to local businesses and online businesses from around the world by encouraging them to list their job postings on the Mom Inc. Movement website.
