SOARING gas prices have been in the news since Friday, when the cost of gas topped 1.50 a litre at many Lower Mainland pumps. The higher prices shattered previous records. Some drivers are looking at ditching their cars and walking, riding a bike, or hopping on a bus instead. Others are gritting their teeth and reaching deeper into their pockets. I want the fools in our government to build a refinery up by the oil sands, refine our oil, and sell it to us for 75 cents a litre. They could do that instead of sending (oil) to China.
