TWO muggers with the munchies held up a West Vancouver pizza delivery person at knifepoint Friday before grabbing the pizza and running away with it, according to police.

The purloined pizza incident was the second mugging in a short space of time Friday night. Police believe they are related.

In the first attack, a 23-year-old man was walking home in the 100-block of Jacobs Crescent around 11 p.m. when he was knocked to the ground from behind by two strangers. The suspects stole the mans iPhone 4 and his prescription glasses before taking off.

About 90 minutes later, a pizza delivery person showed up to deliver a pizza to the Earls Restaurant at 303 Marine Drive but was told nobody had placed the order. As the victim was leaving, two men approached with a knife and grabbed the pizza.

One of the suspects is described as a black male youth, 15 to 16 years old and about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a red baseball cap and had a silver knife. The second suspect was a white male youth, about the same age, wearing a white hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to call the West Vancouver Police Department.
