Representatives of the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art held an opening reception for their latest show, Not Safe to Occupy, The Illegal Grow-op Photos of Victor John Penner, Jan. 15. The show, presented in the space's Mezzanine Gallery, features photographs the artist took in 2001 after being approached by a law enforcement agency to document illegal marijuana growing operations in Vancouver.
