Four women were arrested Wednesday night in a raid on a Xwemelch'stn home where police say liquor was being sold illegally.
Three children were also taken into custody in the bust.
Officers entered the house on West Vancouvers Capilano 5 reserve at 10:30 p.m. after receiving a tip from another member of the community.
The team searched the home, seizing alcohol and a small amount of marijuana, as well as evidence of an ongoing illegal after-sales operation, according to West Vancouver police. They took the four suspects into custody and put the three small children found with them into the care of the Ministry of Children and Families.
The women face drug charges and charges under the liquor control act. They were released with conditions and will appear in North Vancouver provincial court at a later date.
