Iain Baxter& for Dinner: An intimate dinner with conceptual artist Iain Baxter& (pronounced Baxterand) Thursday, June 14, 7 p.m. at Pier 7 restaurant + bar, 25 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver. The dinner will include a brief talk by the artist who will be in North Vancouver for the opening of his upcoming exhibition at the North Vancouver Museum. Tickets: $90. Shellfish Festival: The festival brings farmers, chefs, visitors and food lovers to sample a wide array of shellfish, pick up cooking tips and watch cooking demonstrations Saturday, June 16, noon-6 p.m. at Comox Marina Park. There is a general entry fee of $5, tastings are $1 each and the entry to cooking demos is $2. Shellfish will be available for purchase on site and there will also be a farmers' market. Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes: The Arts Club Theatre Company announces its spring 2012 lineup of classes running until July 18. These intimate four-course dinners will be held at private residences throughout Vancouver and give guests the opportunity to discover the latest trends in food and wine. The three-hour

Hart House Summer Garden Parties: Each evening will start with a casual wine tasting with offerings from the featured region. Winemaker's Dinner: Hawksworth Restaurant will present an opportunity to join one of France's most esteemed winemakers Michel Chapoutier, for an intimate dinner Wednesday, June 20 at 7 p.m. Chapoutier will pair wines from wineries in Australia and the Alsace region with a five-course tasting menu and canapé reception. Night at the Aquarium, the signature fundraising gala of the Vancouver Aquarium, will take place Thursday, June 21 at 6: 30 p.m. There will be wine, food, live music and an array of items in live and silent auctions.
