Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes: The fall series of classes will run until Nov. 21. Chefs will teach by example, preparing unique and elegant four-course dinners paired with wine. These fundraising evenings will be held at different designer homes in and around Vancouver and will benefit the Arts Club. Each class will start with a celebratory glass of wine, an amuse-bouche, and introductions. Guests are then encouraged to assist in the preparation of components of the meal. Monthly Regional Dinners: Cibo Trattoria presents their fall lineup of four-course dinners, with optional wine pairings, that cater to specific geographical regions of Italy. A Lombardy dinner will be featured on Wednesday, Nov. 9 starting at 5 p.m. Guests can choose from the dinner for $48 or dinner with optional wine pairings. Dinner with David Suzuki: A fundraiser for the David Suzuki Foundation and the C Blue Foundation and a celebration of the restoration of a First Nations fishery will

take place Thursday, Nov. 10 at C Restaurant, 1600 Howe St., Vancouver. There will be a cocktail and canapé hour from 6 to 7 p.m. with a multi-course dinner with wine pairings at 7 p.m. Cost: $250 per person. RSVP: leonard@ crestaurant.com.

Sandhill Winemaker's Dinner: Fleuri Restaurant will welcome Sandhill Wines for their November winemaker's dinner where winemaker Mr. Howard Soon will be their special host for the evening Wednesday, Nov. 16, reception 6 p.m. and dinner 6: 30 p.m. There will be a five-course menu with wine pairings. Wine Dinner: Marquis Wine Cellars has teamed up with Hawksworth Restaurant to launch the arrival of their latest wine discoveries from South Africa Wednesday, Nov. 16, 7-9: 30 p.m. Wines will be paired with a menu collaboratively designed by Marquis Wine Cellars and chef David Hawksworth. Chefs for Life Dinner: Vancouver and Whistler's top chefs will join forces at ORU restaurant at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, 1038 Canada Place Way, Vancouver on Sunday, Nov. 20 to host the 14th annual Chef's for Life fundraising gala. The evening will kick off at 5 p.m. with a reception. At 6 p.m. there will be a 12-course dinner specially paired with vintage wines to match the occasion.
