Toy drive: Get Dressed women's clothing boutique (Westview Shopping Centre and Parkgate Village) and Techniks Hair Studio (225 Seymour River Place, North Vancouver) are collecting toys for Family Services of the North Shore for distribution to the Christmas Bureau. In return for your donation of a new unwrapped toy, shoppers will receive a a $10 gift card for purchases at Get Dressed. One gift card per customer.

Coats for Kids: The Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association will hold its 17th annual campaign in support of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau until Dec. 7. North Vancouver drop-off locations: Dick's Lumber & Building Supplies, 160 Hanes Ave., Monday-Friday, 6: 30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Alchemy Construction Ltd., 1537 Welch St., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4: 30 p.m. West Vancouver drop-off location: G.D. Nielsen Developments Ltd., 2405 Bellevue Ave., Monday-Friday, 8: 30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Shear Bliss Hair Studios will donate $1 from every men's hair service in the month of November to Prostate Cancer Canada. The fundraiser is in support of Movember, a global campaign that sees men grow their "mo's" to raise awareness and funds for men's health initiatives. On Friday, Nov. 30, the salon will also provide haircuts for a minimum $20 donation. On Saturday, Dec. 1, the salon will host an after-shave party at Mist Ultra Lounge in West Vancouver. Great Stuff: Unique gifts by more than 40 local artisans, jewellers and craft artists will be on exhibit and for sale Tuesdays-Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. from Nov. 30 to Dec. 21 at the Ferry Building Gallery, 1414 Argyle Ave., West Vancouver.
