Dog Wash: The SPCA will hold a dog wash Sunday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 1020 Marine Dr., West Vancouver (west of Park Royal Village and behind the soccer fields). Minimum donation $20 per wash. Support your local shelter and enjoy a complimentary coffee and snack while you wait. All proceeds go to help the animals.

Cops for Cancer Barbecue: A lunch benefitting the Canadian Cancer Society's research into childhood cancers will take place Monday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Civic Plaza, Lonsdale Avenue and 14th Street, North Vancouver.
