THE City of North Vancouver would rather you not grow any genetically modified crops, trees and plants.
Council unanimously passed a resolution Monday night calling on senior levels of government to introduce mandatory labelling of GM products and put a moratorium on more GM products entering the market until more rigorous scientific assessments are in place.
The resolution directs city staff to investigate the possibility of banning the sale of genetically modified crops, meat, fish, poultry and seeds in the city.
