THE Burrard Yacht Club will have to find another way of funding an upgrade to its facilities.
City of North Vancouver council nixed a plan Monday to amend the official community plan to allow the club to "bank" residential density on its land and sell it. Council members rejected the application on the grounds that there was no interested buyer for the density and the amendment would conflict with the regional growth strategy.
