Car fire on Highway 1 causes traffic delays on the North Shore

Drivers on the North Shore should expect delays due to an apparent vehicle fire on Highway 1 Monday afternoon. 

DriveBC made a social media post earlier this afternoon that emergency crews are on scene due to the incident between Taylor Way and Capilano Road. 

The transportation watchdog said just before 3:30 p.m. the incident has cleared but drivers should expect delays. 

A photo posted to X appears to show an electric vehicle on fire.
