Representatives of the West Vancouver Community Arts Council hosted their inaugural student awards fundraising evening Oct. 19 at St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Proceeds from the event, which featured performances by R&B artist Kentish Steele and the Shantelles, and the Capilano University jazz ensemble, will support local graduating secondary school students intending to pursue post-secondary studies in the arts.
