Reclamation at Artemis Gallery
An opening reception for Reclamation, the latest art exhibition at Deep Cove's Artemis Gallery, was held Friday. A full house of art lovers were in attendance, interested in taking in the sights and sounds of the multimedia group show featuring sculptural works by Susan MacDonald and son Eric, photographs by North Shore News photographer Mike Wakefield and a soundscape by singer-songwriter J. Knutson. Reclamation turns an eye on our industrial legacy, and was inspired by North Vancouver's working waterfront, including the area's shipbuilding history. A Solstice Celebration of Art and Sound, featuring a performance by Knutson, is being held at the gallery Friday, June 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. The show will remain on display until July 1.
