Several local authors are among the finalists vying for recognition in seven categories at the 30th Annual BC Book Prizes. The West Coast Book Prize Society announced its shortlist earlier this month.

Former astronaut chronicles his journey

North Vancouver-based Landrock Entertainment, run by North Shore producer Erica Landrock, presents a new history series titled Working People: A History of Labour in British Columbia , which premiered March 20 on Knowledge Network.

Strathcona artist Torrie Groening will be showcasing 16 of her photo montage works at a solo exhibit entitled Out of Studio at the Ferry Building Gallery, 1414 Argyle Ave., West Vancouver. The show runs April 1 to 13.
