A weekly gleaner of Internet sources and other media -
The Cinémathèque and Vancity Theatre are celebrating the centenary of Hollywood maverick Orson Welles with Orson Welles 100, a massive retrospective of the great man's work. Former North Shore News astrologer Robert Aiken wrote extensively on Welles and the making of the never-completed film The Other Side of the Wind in 1999 in the North Shore News. Aiken was involved in the production of the movie and his NSN article "Citizen Welles" has been used as a source of information in several books on Welles including Orson Welles's Last Movie: The Making of The Other Side of the Wind by Josh Karp and What Ever Happened to Orson Welles?: A Portrait of an Independent Career by Joseph McBride.
